Recommendations:

The Future of the First Amendment study was released at a press conference and discussion at the Freedom Forum in Arlington, Va., Jan. 31, 2005.

Some education and scholastic journalism leaders have made some recommendations on what to do in the wake of the release of the survey's findings.

Here are comments, including remarks from Mike Maidenberg, Vice President & Chief Program Officer of the Knight Foundation, and John Seigenthaler, founder of the Nashville-based First Amendment Center.

We welcome your ideas. If you have a comment or suggestion, please call or email J-Ideas at infomail@jideas.org
