Handelsman cartoon

Known for his wry sense of humor and thoughtful commentary, nationally syndicated editorial cartoonist Walt Handelsman of the New York newspaper Newsday attacks the pressing issues of the time. His cartoons cover topics ranging from national and local politics to social concerns. Handelsman conceived and drew this cartoon especially for the Future of the First Amendment project.
